Jane McGee

Jane Anne McGee, age 78, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born on May 19, 1947, in Jackson, to her parents Eldine and Eleanor (Nagel) Hawley.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ron McGee; her loving children, Pam (Nelson) Bailey and Kristin Lewandowski; her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey (Anthony) Hypnarowicz, Danielle (Nolan) Hildebrand and Elena Lewandowski; great-grandchildren, Eli and Oliver Hypnarowicz; brothers, Fred (Sarah) Hawley, John (Ruth Ann) Hawley, Bill (Sally) Hawley; step-brother, Bill (Karen) Duncan and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Eldine and Eleanor (Nagel) Hawley; sister-in-law, Joan Jenkins and bonus mom, Irene Hawley.
Jane worked at Foote Hospital (now Henry Ford Jackson Hospital) for over 30 years and made many friends during her time there. After her retirement, she was the organizer of their hospital dinner gatherings over the years. She loved spending time with her family, being the biggest cheerleader while attending sporting events for her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; coaching her daughters little league softball teams, walking the neighborhood everyday regardless of the weather and spending the winter months in Florida. She also spent many years at Summit Lanes on a bowling league. She touched so many lives, she always knew someone wherever she was and would stop and talk with them.
A memorial service for family and friends will take place on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. with a service beginning at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Rod Walker officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Henry Ford Hospice Home-Jackson and The American Heart Association.
