Jane Aleene Ellinger-McMillan, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO.
On March 12, 1941, in Commerce, MO, she was born to the late Edward Frank and Aleene Hockersmith- Ellinger.
She married Billy Ray McMillan on November 7, 1958, in Ancell, MO, who survives of the home.
Jane had been employed by Southeast Missouri Hospital, where she worked in linen services until her retirement. She was also a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Frank and Aleene Ellinger; her mother and father-in-law Oliver Scott and Ruth McMillan; one son in law Eddie Harris; one brother, Frank Ellinger: one sister-in-law Erma Ellinger; one sister Mary Carroll, and one grandson Nicholas Edward Harris and one great grandson Jaxon Edward Harris.
In addition to her husband Billy Ray, other survivors include three sons: Dennis & Deborah McMillan and Ronnie & Debbie McMillan both of Scott City, MO, and Jim & Sharon McMillan of Herrin, IL; three daughters: Ruth McMillan & Kim Harris of Scott City, MO, and Rhonda & Bill Bolton of Cape Girardeau, MO: seven grandchildren: Danny & Darlene McMillan, Nathan & Kassie Harris, Zachary & Kanyi Harris, Ian Bolton, Dayne & Ashley Cherry, Dylan & Danyelle Cherry, Cayleigh & Zach Owens, eight great-grandchildren: Taylor McMillan, Maylene & Margot Cherry, Nicholas, Simon and Charlie Harris, Oliver & Amelia Owens.
A celebration of life will be from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Signal Event Center in Chaffee, Missouri.
