Jane Martinez "Martinez" Palacios

Jane Martinez Palacios, 66, passed away peacefully at her home on January 28, 2026, in Ingram, Texas. She was born on January 31, 1959, in Purísima, Coahuila, Mexico, to Santos and Tomas Martinez.

Jane moved with her parents and four brothers to the Texas Hill Country at a young age. She attended Harper schools and later made Ingram her home, where she lived for more than 40 years. Jane married Juan Palacios, in Mexico, and the couple later renewed their vows at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville.

Jane dedicated 15 years of service to the Kerrville State Hospital. Above all else, she was the rock of her family. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and especially enjoyed making tamales together with those moments filled with laughter, tradition, and love that will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Joe Luis Martinez and Santos Martinez; her grandson, Anthony Martinez; her great-niece, Oriana Vargas; and her stepson, Noel Palacios.

Jane is survived by her devoted husband, Juan Palacios of Ingram; her children, Raymond Martinez of Ingram, Ernestina Martinez of Ingram, Jaime Martinez of Kerrville, and Fatima Martinez of New Braunfels; her brothers, Tomas Martinez of Ingram and Jose Ignacio Martinez; her grandchildren, Issac Martinez of San Antonio, Brandon Martinez of Ingram, Caleb Martinez of Ingram, Luna Martinez of San Antonio, and Cristiano Martinez of Ingram; her bonus children, Juana, Norberto, and Angelica Palacios; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane's strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
