Jane Anderson Pardew, beloved mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away peacefully January 25, 2026, at the age of 91 years. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Jane was born on June 17,1934, the daughter of John Franklin Anderson and Esther (Cook) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Pardew, and by her older sister, Louise Taylor. She is survived by her older brother, Wesley Anderson.
Jane was the devoted mother of four children, listed from oldest to youngest:
Tamyra Pardew; Leslie Pardew (Kimberly); Marcel Pardew (Cynthia); and Vicki Quisenberry (Bob). All of her children honor her memory with deep love and gratitude.
She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and purpose.
Jane dedicated much of her life to education, influencing countless lives as a school teacher. Her passion for learning extended beyond the classroom, as she was actively involved in lobbying for better schools, always advocating for children and families. She believed deeply in opportunity, fairness, and the power of education to change lives.
Known for her generous heart, Jane consistently went out of her way to help those who were marginalized or in need.
Above all else, Jane will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, whose quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering care shaped generations. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the family she cherished.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00-10:45 am at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel. A brief graveside service will be held at the Kuna Cemetery at 12:30pm.
