Jane Parker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home from Nov. 12 to Nov. 20, 2025.
Jane Parker Obituary Zora "Jane" Parker of Warsaw, Indiana passed into Heaven on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the age of 88. She was a beloved daughter of Christ, with a lifetime commitment to God's will she lived a life of unwavering faith, compassion, and grace in everything she did. A true Christian lady who will be dearly missed by her loving family, they have the comfort in knowing she is whole again in the arms of her Lord and Savior!
She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1936, in Corydon, Indiana. Jane was one of six children born to Francile Estella (Burger) Harvey and Harold Gregg Harvey. She was a 1954 graduate of Monmouth High School in Decatur, Indiana. She went on to work for Lincoln Life in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a number of years and later worked at Dana Corporation in Columbia City, Indiana, retiring in 1998.
Jane married the love of her life, Jack Samuel Parker, on June 20, 1977. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage together before her passing. They shared the joy of raising four children, becoming grandparents as well as great-grandparents. They glorified God together in their marriage and provided a foundation for their children to grow up in a home where they learned and witnessed the teachings of Christ. Throughout the years many memories were made on their trips to the beach at St. Petersburg, Florida. Jane was an active member of her church, West Etna Community Church in Larwill, Indiana. She possessed a servant's heart and shared her time and cooking talents to prepare meals for many church families. She also loved to help with meals at Warsaw Community Church where her family attended. Jane could feed an army at a drop of a hat, preparing a feast where there was always enough food for everyone. Often times, plenty of left-overs to be enjoyed at home. The saying "better to give than to receive", perfectly described Jane. Selfless generosity and helping others brought joy to her heart and no thank you needed other than she knew she was honoring God.
She dearly loved her family, spending precious time with her children and especially her grandchildren. Jane was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jack Parker (Warsaw, IN); three daughters, Shelly (Matt) Metzger (Warsaw, IN); Misty Hale (OH); Michelle (Paul) Rice (New Haven, IN); seven grandchildren, Caleb (Tasha) Weimer, Chasey Weimer, Natalie Weimer, Hunter (Morgan) Metzger, Megan Metzger, Morgan (Alan) Jacobs, Tyson Landis; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Gary Harvey (Decatur, IN) and her daughter-in-law, Amy Dean (Elkhart, IN). She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Tracy Landis in 1991; three brothers and one sister.
Jane's life will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Kelly Wiley. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 12:00 noon. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at West Etna Cemetery, 6552 W. 750 N., Larwill, Indiana.
