Jane Marie (Engstrom) Reed, 87, of Stoneboro, passed away on January 27, 2025. Jane was born to the late Elmer and Lyda Engstrom on July 7, 1937. Jane graduated from Lakeview High School before beginning her career at the Stoneboro Post Office.
Jane married the love of her life, Bill Reed, on July 5, 1957, and loved him until his passing in August of 2015.
Jane was a member of the Stoneboro United Methodist Church and was a pianist there for many years. Jane was in love with everything to do with horses, even riding them since she was young. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club ladies. Jane had a great sense of humor and could always be found laughing and indulging her sweet tooth. Jane enjoyed spending time with her husband and her family, and she was always ready to take a road trip with her late husband. Jane was a phenomenal grandmother, never missing sporting events and showing unending love for her grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her children: Lynn (Allen) Ferry, Karen (Brian) Drew, and Doug (Shawna) Reed. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Austa and Lydia Reed as well as Jake (Crystal) Drew and Lauren Drew to cherish her memory. Jane is survived by a great-grandson, Oliver Drew, as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers; Bill, Richard, and Tom Engstrom.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, PA, 16153. A visitation will be held from 11-1 on Friday, January 31, with a funeral service to follow.
