Funeral Services for Jane Baker Robbins, 70, will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana, 71101. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dexter Truesdell.
Jane Baker Robbins was born March 23, 1953 in Pensacola, Florida and was raised by her parents, Raymond and Christine Truesdell and passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Jane graduated in the Class of 1971 at Century High School. She had worked in several different industries such as retail, healthcare, catering and cleaning. She was happily married to her husband, Bobbie Robbins, for over 50 years. Jane was a smart, loving and kind woman and had a passion for people. Jane had a contagious personality and loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed attending church and spending time completing puzzles with her husband. She could always be found in the kitchen where she would bake and try new recipes or with her friends and family watching game shows and working on her crafts.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Truesdell; sisters, Cheryl Robbins and Gail Godwin and brother, Lynn Baker. Her memory is survived by her mother, Christine Truesdell; brother, Bodie Baker; husband, Bobbie Robbins and daughter, Lori Robbins.
Serving Jane Robbins as honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Truesdell, Dexter Truesdell, Scott Capps and Bobbie Robbins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Rays Chapel Baptist Church, 170 W. Bogia Rd., McDavid, Florida 32568 or Flag Chapel Baptist Church, 738 N. Flag Chapel Rd., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.
