Pat, Tammy, Jody and Paul, Grandkids and Great Grandchildren
I´m heartbroken to hear about your wife´s and Mom´s passing. I first met Jane when I was assigned to Dover AFB in September 1970 after serving with Pat in the Philippines.
As a first term young airman, Pat was my first supervisor and took me under his wing and helped me adjust to AF life. We worked and lived together for almost a year and became good friends.
When I arrived at Dover, your Mom and Dad had me over for dinner at their apartment almost as soon as I arrived. I could not have felt more welcome even though my own family was a short 80 mile drive to Philly. I immediately felt like family and carried that feeling through Tammy´s birth in November as well as throughout my stay at Dover and the following years of my AF career.
I am very proud to have called your Mom and Dad my friends for over 56 years even through the years and distances. From working together and sharing our friendship over crabs and beer at the Rainbow Inn to a living room crab fest in my trailer in Frederica (I´ve been told you remember Tammy) I can still smile.
Although your Mom is no longer with us, I will always cherish the memories she provided to a young AF Sergeant and lifelong friend.
May your Mom ALWAYS remain in your hearts and memories and give you peace throughout your lives.
Sincerely,
Matt Bradfield
