JANE WILSON Obituary

WILSON, Jane R. (Keenan) Passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea, MA, on March 8, 2026. Jane was born on April 1, 1935, in Chelsea to her late parents, William and Mary Jane (Rourke) Keenan. She attended St. Rose School and graduated in 1953. She became an operator for New England Telephone and later a switch board operator at Leonard Silver. She was the beloved wife of Woodrow "Woody" Wilson, the love of her life and enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his death in 2022. They were the devoted parents of Robin M. and her late husband, Raymond J. Buckland of Lynn, MA. The cherished "Gram" of Sean R. Buckland, "Her Baby", also of Lynn. Dear sister to Marie (Keenan) O'Callaghan; and sister-in-law of Roberta Keenan and the late William, Robert, James, Arthur, Thomas, Paul and Alfred Keenan. Lovingly remembered as "Auntie Jane" by many nieces and nephews and friend Jean (Petersen) MacDonald. Jane and Woody relocated to Coppell, Texas until his retirement brought them to Pompano Beach, Florida. However, Chelsea would always be home. Jane was happiest cooking, caring for the ones she loved, and telling funny stories while having a glass of red wine with lots of ice. Auntie Jane's door was always open. Whether it was for a meal, a bed or just a hug or friendship, she was there. She will be missed terribly. She loved hard and was loved so much by all who knew her. Jane will join Woody at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, together forever. Services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in Jane's memory may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 72 Dedham St., Boston, MA 02118 or online at www.thehome.org Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Carafa Family Funeral Home in CHELSEA.

Jane was the most GENUINELY open and welcoming of people. You were assumed to be a new friend until proven otherwise. Few people in her embrace ever thought of losing it.
I loved her deeply and will always remember how wonderfully she treated me in her life.
