JANET "JAN" ELAINE ANDERSON Janet "Jan" Elaine Anderson, residing at Beardstown Health and Rehab, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025. Sitting with her friends and aides, she gave her last chuckle, laughed her last laugh, and was gone from all of her pain in one passing moment. She was born in Beardstown to Claude and Wilma Gregory Anderson on June 14, 1940. She graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1958. Her life was filled with her nieces and nephews who adored her. She managed Myers Grocery Store for Tom Myer and helped her mother run several restaurants, such as the Sherry Pit and A&W Drive Inn. Jan is survived by two sisters, Nancy Lovekamp (husband Carroll) of Rushville and Sherry Taylor (husband David) of Beardstown, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Wilma Anderson, three sisters Jean Edsall, Dorothy Krohe, and Betty Chartos, one nephew Donald Edsall, and one niece Peggy Krohe. Graveside services will be held at 12:15 PM Saturday, May 31, 2025 in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 11 AM to Noon on Saturday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Memorials have been suggested to Beardstown Health and Rehab activity Fund.
