Janet Andrist Obituary

Janet was the proud and loving mother of nine children: Louis, Mary Joe, Frannie, Jackie, Frankie, Mark, Dana, Mark Anthony and Eric. Her greatest joy was in raising and nurturing her family, always putting their needs above her own and filling their lives with warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her legacy continues through eight of her beloved grandchildren: Nikki, Louis Jr., Christopher, Zachary, Jack, Bob, Jessica and Christina, and ten great grandchildren: Makayla, Sophia, Arahbella, Lucas, Madison, Jordan, Bryson, Taylor, Victoria and Nicolas, and one great, great grandchild Alexander who adored their grandmother and will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Janet was a woman of kindness, strength, and boundless love. She touched the lives of many, not just within her family but also among her friends and community. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether it was through a kind word, a comforting embrace, or the simple act of always being there when needed, Janet's presence brought light and love into the lives of so many.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on in the laughter of her children, the smiles of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and the countless cherished memories shared by those who loved her.
A service to honor Janet's life will be held at Saint Marks located at 3736 S Lee's Summit Road, Independence MO, 64055 on March 6th 2025 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to American Cancer Society in her memory.
Rest in peace, Janet. Your love and kindness will forever be in our hearts.

I have many strong feelings when it comes to Aunt Janet. One thing is for sure and that is that she had a unique personality. She stood out above many people despite her shorter height. She loved her family deeply.

I met Jan 4 years ago when I moved to Woodmoor. She befriended almost on day one and I have loved her ever since. I wish I could have known her for 40 years instead of 4. I will greatly miss her at our lunches and our hour long telephone calls. I will see her again. My prayers are with all of her family she loved you greatly
