Janet Barker, 73, our loving wife, mom, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on April 1, 2024.
She was born December 15, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to William Thomas and Imogene Birge Nunn.
Janet lived her life for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her animals.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Imogene; grandmother, who raised her, Sandra Stevens; brother Richie Nunn; grandson Reggie Posey; son-in-law Clayton Posey; granddaughter Destiny Jean Posey; and best friend/sister Patricia Woods.
Janet is survived by her husband Buster Barker, daughter Lou Ann Posey, step-son Buster Barker Jr., siblings Patricia Chesney Guadio & husband Pat, Davey Nunn, Edie Nunn, William Nunn, Melanie Nunn, Monty Nunn & wife Sally, Viola Nunn, grandchildren Tommy Posey, Robby Posey & wife Cheyenne, Bobby Posey & wife Dana, Drake Barker, Bentley Barker, Davin Barker, Abigail Barker, and Buster Barker III. Her legacy continues to live on in her beautiful great grandchildren Clay Posey, Ariel Posey, Bralyn Posey, Destiny Posey, Connor Posey, Grace Posey, Tommy Posey, Lillian Posey, and Reggie Posey. Others that will miss her beautiful smile is her best friend/sissy Marie Love, two special nieces to her heart Jodi Tafoya and Deanna Wood and several other nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Posey, Bobby Posey, Bralyn Posey, Buster Barker Jr., Joshua Everett, and Quinton Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will be William Nunn, Monty Nunn, Davey Nunn, Clay Posey, Johnny Chesney, Gary Chesney, Matthew Ingram, and Connor Posey.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 5, 2024 at Rockin' C Country Church, Kemp, TX
Service will be at 11:00 AM at Rockin' C Country Church with Pastor Woody officiating.
