Janet Bilotta

Janet M. Bilotta, treasured mother and grandmother, 91, of Middletown, N.J., passed away on August 7, 2025, surrounded by her family, at Riverview Medical Center. She is survived by her four children, Joseph, Joanne Bilotta (husband, John Napoli), Frank, and Robert (wife, Pamela). She is lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren who brought her immense joy and infinite pride, Danielle, Tyler, Robert (wife, Stephanie), Mark, Scott, Gregory, Giulia, Francesca, Anna, Diana (husband, Ryan), Joseph, Benjamin, and Sarah. Janet was blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Violet, Lily, and David. She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Gordon Matthews and Ronald Gordon (wife, Barbara) and special friends, Barbara and Adam Rydczik. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph B Bilotta, and brother, Laurence S Gordon. She was born on July 9, 1934 in Middletown, NJ, to the late Mary and Benjamin Gordon, and was raised in Middletown, NJ. She graduated from Leonardo High School, in 1952, and worked for the Bendix Corporation and later, for Harmony Enterprises of Middletown, for over 50 years. A blind date with Joe on July 17th, 1954, led to an engagement six months later in January of 1955. They were married on April 27th, 1957. They settled in Middletown on her family farm and nursery where they became involved at St. Mary's Church of Middletown, where she was a lector and eucharistic minister, and an active parishioner for 91 years. She volunteered with the Riverview Hospital Women's Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of America (CDA). Janet was a charter member of our Court Fulgens Corona, a court officer, including regent of court twice. She also served as CDA NJ State Secretary, Dues Treasurer in the NJ CDA Past Regents Club, Sunshine Club, and she attended many conventions with Joe. She spoke beautiful Polish and had numerous friends that cherished her connections. She was a talented cook and baker, and was published in the Red Bank Register. It gave her great joy to cook her grandchildrens' favorite meals. Janet and Joe were avid travelers and visited relatives in Poland, Italy, and Switzerland during their numerous visits to Europe.
Visitation will be held on August 19th from 4pm - 8pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
A funeral mass will be held on August 20th at 10am at St. Mary Mother of God Church, Middletown, with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
