Janet Lea Blevins, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, in Midland, Michigan. She was born on August 10, 1933, in Marion, Michigan, to the late Raymond and Ruth Case.

On October 21, 1951, Janet married the late Dennis Blevins, with whom she shared a loving life. After 71 years of marriage, Dennis passed away on December 27, 2022. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Joanne) Blevins and Terry (Lynn) Blevins; her brother, Calvin (Pat) Case; sisters, Pat Watkins and Sandra Wilson; grandchildren, Sheri Blevins, Christy (Mike) Cummings, Shelly Infante, Victoria Blevins (Justin Malone), and Calin (John) Leech; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Pat McColl; and special family friend Tara Tardiff. In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Rick Blevins; her brother, Larry Case; and brothers-in-law Ron Watkins and Tom Wilson.

A devoted member of Sanford United Methodist Church since 1966, Janet was deeply rooted in her community. She was employed as a paraprofessional with Meridian Public Schools for 15 years, after which she decided to open her day care center, Babes in Toyland, in Sanford.

She found joy in crocheting, playing cards, visiting the casino, and spending time at the Sanford Senior Center. Her greatest happiness came from being with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed cross-country skiing, softball, volleyball, and traveling to destinations like Hawaii and Las Vegas. She also cherished trips up north and to Georgia and Florida to visit her siblings. Janet’s unwavering love and care for her special needs son allowed him the freedom to live a fulfilled life—a testament to her selfless nature.

Per Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Hospice, or Reece Endeavor. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
