Janet Nelle Bowles, born on December 21, 1931, in Marietta, Ohio, passed away on February 11, 2026. Janet grew up on the family farm, which played a significant role in shaping her hardworking and caring nature. She dedicated a part of her career to working at the OSU Bookstore, where she contributed to the community and made lasting connections.
Janet had a great love for card games, especially Pinochle and Euchre. She found joy in playing these games with Robbie and her other friends at the Hilliard Senior Center, where many memorable gatherings took place. Her friendly spirit and competitive nature made her a cherished companion among her fellow players.
Janet is survived by her son, Steve Bowles (Jun), Rebecca Kelly and Laura Hansford, Thomas Kelly II and Jennifer Lyons; as well as Mark, Vickie, Dustin, and Tyler; Rich and Tammy Hoff; and Hillary, Kent, and Lexie. She also leaves behind Jim and Autumn, and James II, along with Dave Lesher, Doug and Millie Pontious, and Robbie.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Wilber and Mildred Hoff; her brothers, David and Dick Hoff; and her sister, Mary Carol Hoff. She will be remembered for her warm heart, love for family, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her.
