We are deeply saddened to hear about Janet's passing. She was truly an inspiring woman to us, and we had been looking forward to seeing her again this summer, after more than 4 years apart.
We first met about 15 years ago at Bar Harbor Campground, while you were staying there during house construction. Paul came to Marc's rescue to move the tent during a fierce storm in the middle of the night, while I comforted our 3 young scared children in the car.
The next morning, we socialized, recounting the events of the previous night... Janet arrived with freshly picked blueberries, offering them to the children... that won their affection and ours instantly! That is how started our friendship.
I remember seeing Janet do yoga in the morning at the campground, while I was a novice at the time. She greatly inspired me with her social commitment and mindfulness approach. I now practice yoga almost daily, often thinking of her.
What a wealth of sharing and exchanges we had with her and you Paul, around the campfire with the children and later the adults when they (hardly!) went to sleep, at restaurants, enjoying ice cream, even at your home! We dared to speak our approximate English because we felt so welcome by you, in shared joy. It was always so delightful and heartwarming to see each other again whenever we visited Bar Harbor; we always looked forward to those moments.
We will cherish these memories for a long time and continue to nurture them with you, Paul, for as long as possible.
With all our affection,
The Magny-Journeault Family
Marc, Andrée-Anne, and the now grown children: Charles (20), Émilie (18), and Camille (soon to be 16)

Sorry to hear of Janet´s passing. We sat together in meditation many times at a mindfulness meditation group. She was a dear classy lady, always thoughtful.
