Janet Bentley Crocker, age 59, wife of Jimmy Dean Crocker, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 2, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Janet was born in Union, SC on August 8, 1965, to Akin and Patricia Bentley. She was a 1983 graduate of Lockhart High School and a 1987 graduate of Winthrop College where she received a degree in Accounting. For the past 38 years she has been a faithful employee of Arthur State Bank. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 37 years and her mother are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jana Crocker Moore and husband Clay, and Jayla Crocker Gault and husband Adam; three grandchildren whom she adored, Jayleigh Ann Moore, Jordyn Grace Moore, and Jon Cameron Gault; her mother and father-in-law, Jimmy and Joyce Crocker; two brothers, Mark Bentley and wife Stephanie, and Michael Bentley; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Melinda Crocker, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Akin Bentley, her maternal grandparents, Paul and Grace Burgess, and her paternal grandparents, Alfard and Lorine Bentley.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Robert Scott and the Reverend Brad Goodale, with burial following in the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Mike Allen, Jeff Bailey, Terry Bentley, Mike Fowler, Kevin Henderson, and Monty Latham. Former Arthur State Bank friends and co-workers are asked to sit in a group.
Memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church, Playground Fund, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.
The family will be at the home at 386 Bentley Town Road.
