Janet Ann Deal, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on October 31, 2025 at the age of 76. Born in New London, Connecticut, Janet was the oldest of four children of Bob and Barbara MacKay Nardone. She graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne, IN in 1967. She married John Deal in 1980 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Janet loved cooking, crocheting, and collecting antiques. She had a deep passion for animals and cherished her pets, Ashula, Sashi, Coco and Riley. She was known for her kindness and warmth, she never knew a stranger. Janet is survived by her two daughters, Christina Williamson of Carmel, IN and Amanda (Greg) Roebel of Fort Wayne, IN, son John Deal of Fort Wayne, IN, and four grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends will be notified privately with details. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Bend Animal Resource Center, 521 Eclipse Blvd, South Bend, IN 46228.
