Betty L. Bennett

Betty L. Bennett, 89, passed away January 24, 2021. Born September 15, 1931 in Olney, Illinois daughter to Loy and Florence (Greenwood) Davis. She married the love of her life, Rubert Bennett on August 5, 1950 and went on to have three children. Betty was strong in her faith, always being happy to be in a Methodist church, she loved the people at the church, and the church itself; a member of Brooke Road United Methodist, one of her favorite activities was to sit in a pew outside of the chapel and greet members as they came for service. There was always a brunch to follow that she greatly looked forward to as well. She was a member of the United Methodist Woman's club and the Prayer Chain. She enjoyed cooking and baking, but her favorite thing was spending time with her beloved family.
She will be missed by those who loved her most, her children Jeff (Brenda) Bennett, Greg (Carol) Bennett, and Sue (Jeff) Peschang; her grandchildren Michael (Erik), Jessica (AJ Arguello), Lucas (Angie), David, Amanda (Jody Bodey), Jenna, and Cole; her great grandchildren Ava, Abby, Lilly, Bennett Bodey, Kayla, and Hannah; sister in law Barb Davis; nieces Cindy (Rick), Jeanette (Tom) and Amy. She was predeceased by her husband, Rubert; son Gerald; grandson Justin; her parents and brother Ronnie Davis.
