To the Hooks Family,

I grew up with Janet and her siblings in Nashville; we all were products of our grade school, St. Vincent de Paul. One of my fond memories of Janet was when we were both brides maids, in one of our dear friends wedding, Rosalyn Baxter. Find comfort in your cherished memories, may God give you strength in your grief, and be blessed. Sincerely, M. Elizabeth Hill.

Dear Kristin, Marcus and Michael Jr.,

I send this note to address your pain from loosing such a precious loving and caring mom. Her love for you, your dad, and her grand kids was highly regarded.

She has left us all, who loved and respected her, possessed with a will, attitude and purpose to exemplify love innately and courageously as possible.
So, keep your heads high, by looking towards her in heaven, knowing how remarkable she was to you and as a public servant. Cherish the blessing it will be for you to carry on in life with her spirit imbedded in your hearts. . Uncle Rob & Aunt Paula

What a wonderful, beautiful lady! My neighbor, my friend. I was in shock when I got the news of your passing...still in shock that you are gone and it is not a dream. We weren't as close as some but we always had a word, long conversations whenever we saw each other. I've known you personally for over 20 years and we've shared a lot about husbands, children, work, family. The commitment that you had for family, for community...unsurpassed! Alvin and I send much love and prayers to Michael, Kristin, Marcus, Michael Jr., Kenya, the grands ...all of the family at such a devastating loss...but heavens glorious gain!
