Janet Johnson Obituary
A visitation for Mrs. Janet Marie Johnson will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. A committal service will be held on Friday, June 16th at Keyes Cemetery near Fulton, MS.
Janet, 76 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on June 13th. She was born on November 7, 1946 to John Wiley Johnson and Essie Sue Wood Johnson in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Sylvia White, Jackie Thompson and Bill Johnson; as well as her precious “Fur-Baby”, Sippi, a pug she truly adored.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim McElwee (Bill) and Regina Sanders; and a previous husband who still remained a close and dear friend, T.R. Byrd. She was blessed with 2 grandchildren, James Williamson (Corinna) and Miranda Allison (Lance) and 4 great grandchildren, Abigail, Caleb, Frankee, and J.P.
