Janet Lee Kennedy, 60, passed away on June 10, 2023 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville, Georgia. She was born in Macon, Georgia on December 2, 1962 to Daniel Washington and Alice West Adams and was a graduate of Washington County High School. Janet spent much of her adult life serving others while working at Huddle House and as a Deli Manager at the Piggly Wiggly before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and cooking and was a member of Harmony Church. Janet had a love for all animals and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is preceded in death by, her parents; sisters, Martha Mae Adams and Agnes Henrietta Davis and brother George Dawson, Jr.
Janet is survived by her Husband Winton Lee Kennedy of Glennville, Georgia; Children, Daniel Day of Millen, Georgia, Jessica Mitchell (Joseph) of Glennville, Georgia, Matthew Kennedy (Kirsten) of Glennville, Georgia; Brother, Daniel Adams (Vickie) of Baxley; Sister, Ann Hanck (Richard) of Glennville, Georgia ; Grandchildren, Jonathan Morris, Wyatt Day, Lindan Mitchell and Kase Kennedy; Special Nieces, Jessie Adams of Glennville, Georgia and Crystal Sikes (William) of Ailey Georgia along with numerous other loving nieces, nephews, friends and family members.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Harmony Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Harmony Church with Rev. Clay Loadman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
