Janet Laperle

I know Janet Laperle about long time and I am on the same Bowling team and I played Softball with me and being my Baby Sister. And I miss her very much

Janet was a wonderful self advocate and a wonderful friend she was there for you if you needed to talk and she would listen and encourage you no matter what that is how wonderful she was to all that she knew

I cannot believe how fast time flew by I still miss her to this day she was a wonderful self advocate for many she taught me a lot but most important of all always had a way of putting a smile on someone's face even if their day was going totally wrong I miss her everyday she was one special person God bless

I was so saddened to hear of Janet's passing! She was a Truly Good Soul and Sweet woman (just like her brother Bobby!)! I heard this news from a former teammate of hers, from our 1991 Massachusetts Special Olympics International Softball Team, Billy Phaneuf. I met Janet in the mid to late 80's when I was a coach/Unified Partner for WAARC softball. She was our catcher on the International team that competed in Minneapolis, and we won the Silver Medal! She was our only choice for catcher because she was the Best for that position!! Catching pop ups, stopping bad pitches, tagging out runners trying to get to home plate, batting, she did it all!! The world is a lesser place without her, but Heaven has gained a new Angel! I will always remember and miss you, but, we will meet again in a far better place! Rest Peacefully! Love, Razz

Janet is my cousin. She will be greatly missed by our family. In her early adult life with the help of her Aunt Mary, an advocate for people with disabilities, Janet learned how to further advocate for herself and others like her. She became a voice to reckon with for sure. She will be sorely missed as she was the epitome of a giver in this often cruel world. Janet beat the odds and lived a full life in spite of her physical struggles. May she Rest in Peace and be a beacon in the after world too.
