Janet S. Lawrence

Janet was a character and always ready to be on the go. She enjoyed her heavy foot! Her race here has ended, and she joins all of the saints of the church. Well done, faithful servant!

Janet was a chaperon for our church youth group in the 1960s in Carneys Point, and always struck us as a creative and energizing presence. I was still aware of the Lawrence family after they moved to Woodstown. I was totally impressed by her service as the moderator-elect and then the moderator of our Presbytery. Her perspective was also valued in church roles. Our sympathies for the loss of a good friend. Our rejoicing at a life well-lived. Jim & Pam Green

Sad to hear of the passing of my former neighbor, Janet Lawrence.
Janet became a good friend when living in Pilesgrove (Salem County) for 20-years.
Janet was a very bright woman (as you can tell from her obituary below.)
She had a charming elegance about her... so welcoming and ALOT of fun!
I learned a lot about life from Janet... She was always ready to sit and catch-up with a glass of really good red wine.

I was just telling a funny Halloween story about when we first moved to our home in Pilesgrove... There had not been a family with young children in our area for quite awhile... When we moved in with Kyleen (7) and Kevin (3) the neighbors were not prepared with goodies for Halloween trick-or-treaters.

I watched Kyleen & Kevin go up to the Lawrence´s home and be invited in... As they made their way back down their long driveway, I couldn´t figure out what they were carrying... The Lawrence´s had given them each a 6-pack of Pepsi!
