Janet Lynn Lawrence, 66, of Conway, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2026, at Conway Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 1, 1960, in Russellville, Arkansas, to William Robert Whitten and Betty Carol Word.
Janet dedicated many years of service to Walmart, where she worked as an assistant manager before retiring. Above all else, she treasured her family – especially her role as MiMi. Janet rarely missed a moment in her grandchildren's lives, faithfully attending their events and creating cherished memories during annual family trips to Lake Ouachita.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Whitten; and the father of her children, Johnny Ray Lawrence.
She is survived by her three children: Josh Lawrence (Bree), Jessica Branham (Clay), and Jennifer Barnes (Robert Vogler); her brother, Tim Whitten (Lisa); her sisters, Debby Lamb (Chuck), Laura Lampkin (Rick Nichols), and Darla Sparacino (Mike Jones); and her six beloved grandchildren, Alleigh Lawrence, Konnor Barnes, Talan Lawrence, Korbin Barnes, Ava Branham, and Ella Branham. She also leaves behind her special friend, RoseAnn Mashburn, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle. Private burial will be held at a later date.
