Janet S. Lee, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Mount Vernon, on October 4, 1933, the daughter of the late William and Anne Richards Schmults.

A long-time resident of Batavia, Janet is remembered fondly for her significant contributions to her community and her unwavering commitment to helping others. She was a devoted member of the Batavia First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, mission chairman for the Women's Group, and a former member of the pastoral care team. Her faith and service to her church were central to her life.

Janet's career was marked by her dedication to the nursing profession. She worked as a Nursing Supervisor at the Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia, for many years. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Janet was a member of the Supreme Worthy President Social Order of Beauceant, the wives/widows of Knight Templars and Order of the Eastern Star.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Charles H. Lee, who passed away on September 14, 2016.

She is survived by several dear friends.

A service to celebrate Janet's life will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 10 am at the Batavia First Presbyterian Church, 300 East Main Street, Batavia. She will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Batavia First Presbyterian Church, 300 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
