Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.

I fell i love with her when I was 5 yrs old and saw The Romance of Rosy Ridge. She imprinted herself on my psyche as the ideal female figure and no one ever quite replaced her.

I had the pleasure of meeting Janet Leigh at a benefit sponsored by my company, Subaru of America, for the benefit of AMC Movie Restoration. I attended a cocktail party along with my fellow employees which included a photo session with Ms. Leigh, a showing of Psycho followed by a question and answer period. Ms. Leigh gave her time benefiting this worthwhile cause for which she worked tirelessly.

She really wowed the audience in true Hollywood style. Arriving in a limo at the theater in a beautiful white pants suit, she graciously waved and greeted those standing in line to see her.

At the photo session, the film in the camera ran out while they were taking a picture of us together. During this time I had an opportunity to speak with her at length. We spoke about her career and she had nothing to say but wonderful things about her fellow actors. Not only was she extremely proud of her daughters and their accomplishments but asked questions about my family too.

I've met a few stars in my life living in Alantic City near the 500 Club as a child, but Janet Leigh impressed me as someone who was totally interested in her fans.

She was not only a terrific actress but also a great humanitarian. I cherish the picture I have with her and will never forget how beautiful and gracious she was.

Janet Leigh is one star whose legacy lives on.

It feels just like yesterday when I think of the scariest moment I ever had in a movie theater...of course it was Psycho and I couldn't believe they were doing what they did to you so early in the film...but now I know what a bump it gave to your career, and I can see that scene frame by frame even today. I can tell you that I do remember your voice and see your smile, both were so real. We all have one life to live and one life to leave...we know when it was begun, but we don't know when it is time to leave until the moment is upon us...so it was with sadness when I heard of your passing, and yet joy to know there would be no more suffering. I now wish you eternal comfort and joy in the hereafter...so rest well and feel the peace that surrounds you. Love lives in you.

One of the Greatest Beauties Hollywood (or the Universe) ever produced- I fell in Love with her the first time I saw her- Truly the classiest of Ladies! Forever in my Heart...

There are so many things i can say abouth the magnificancance of janet laigh. When i watch her on screen she takes over. I have never seen a more brilliant or beautiful of a actress. she is truly my favorite.

Janet Leigh stands for class, complex, sensitivity and depht - and much more! Just saw a few seconds of her in the film "Psycho" and thought she was really great transforming emotions silently to the screen. It is very sad that she did not get older.

Condolences are proper and common in times of loss. Last October, when we lost Ms. Leigh, was certainly a time of loss. For me she epitomized feminine beauty, charm, grace, and sex appeal. Her passing however, to me, engenders a desire to express a tribute, to her life, even more than condolences. Perhaps it is the Irish in me`that chooses to recall the beautiful, and the good, more than to dwell on the sadness of such a loss.



From the time I was a boy, through young manhood, to adult years, I was a most smitten fan. There were scenes in her movies where her beauty literally took my breath away! They still do when I watch them on tape! Truly she was a timeless and classic beauty.



Her graceful figure, to me, was best complimented by her costumed roles such as in Black Shield of Falsworth, The Vikings, Prince Valiant and so on. She had the quality of the "Fair Damsel" always about her it seemed.



Although her superior acting abilities were showcased in all of her films, I confess to being unable to get passed her beauty, usually, in her many roles. Even here though I was able to sense being in the presence of a very fine and proper lady at all times.



Later in life I found out that she was also a most kind and considerate person. She found it unnecessary to speak ill of anyone. So in addition to unquestioned physical beauty, she also possessed class, good manners, understanding, and a loving forgiving nature. Essentially she was beautiful both on the outside, as well as the inside.



In a profession of those seeking to shine brightly and toot their horns loudly, she chose to remain quietly in the background and outshone them all!!



As one of the many millions of her fans I say goodbye Janet Leigh, I will miss you, and GOD speed Janet Leigh!

You were truly a beautiful and talented woman who will be missed by many!

Hearing of the death of Ms. Leigh was a very sad day for me and many of my family and friends. We have enjoyed Ms. Leigh's career in so many different ways. Even though we never knew Janet in person, it still feels like a close member of our family has passed away. :-(



Ms. Leigh was an excellent and dedicated actress and we still enjoy all of her performances. I think sometimes she got overlooked because she acted her characters out so well... with realism and truth, rather than with over the top performances. Ms. Leigh also did so many lovely interviews about Hollywood and the Golden Age. We will continue to miss seeing her on future television interviews.



But most importantly... we will continue to admire what a lovely person Janet Leigh was. She was such a sweet and kind lady. One of the few classy ladies of Hollywood. She lived as she spoke, and treated everyone so nicely. We could all learn much from her example.



Thanks for all that you gave to us Janet... we will never forget you. :-)



And to Janet's family... I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Last week I saw PSYCHO for the first time, and on a big screen. It was thrilling! Janet Leigh was a fine and beautiful actress. I will never forget that experience; it was a true coincidence, as the showing was planned even before Ms. Leigh passed.

Actually found out about Miss Leigh's passing by a tribute to her on the GSN's re-run's of "What's My Line? My heart goes out to her family and to those who loved her. I truly adored her in her work and it is obvious, the love she had for her family, her friends and fans.

My oldest sister, Betty, died when she was six years old. She would have been about the same age as Janet. I didn't know her in this life, but I look forward to meeting her and perhaps becoming personally acquainted with Janet in the next.

When I was a very little boy, my mother used to take me to the movies. One day, up on the flickering screen, I beheld the most wondrous, beautiful, incandescent creature I had ever seen. The movie was "The Romance of Rosie Ridge". She glowed with such a brilliance and warmth. I totally fell in love with her and to this day I still feel the same. The world is better for having had her in it and the heavens are a little dimmer to have had that light diminished. But wasn't that light wondrous?

My condolences to the Family of Janet Leigh. The lady was an "Icon" in many movies but the most memorable movie of all was Psycho. A legacy has passed but will never be forgotten. Her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis surely follows in her mother's foot steps. Janet and Jamie were in another Horror Flick together called "The Fog". It was an honor to see them together. God be with this family in this time of great sorrow.
