Janet passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at the age of 82. The daughter of the late Nelson and Helen (James) LaFave was born January 23, 1943 in Pinconning, Michigan. Janet was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and enjoyed donating her time to work bingo functions, reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching the news, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Janet is survived by her three children, Theresa Lentini, Shelly (Robert) Blossey and Jane (Ron) Volders; five grandchildren, Brysa Peters, Mikayla Peters, Kelsey Blossey, Jorden Volders and Kara Volders; two great grandchildren, Oliver Meade and Sawyer Meade; three sisters, Evelyn (John) Schultz, Virginia Laskowski and Lenore LaPan; one brother, John (Terry) LaFave and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, Vito Lentini; sister, Betty Ballien; brother, James LaFave and three brothers-in-law, Ted Ballien, Mike Laskowski and Randy LaPan.
A memorial Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik. Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Peace Parish on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
