Janet M. Maher

Maher Janet M. January 8, 1941 - Nov. 15, 2025 Age 84, of Sea Isle City, NJ, formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Lake Hiawatha, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. Born January 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Runzer and sister of the late John and Sally. A graduate of Little Flower High School ('58) and Penn State University ('62), Janet devoted more than 32 years to teaching in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District. The Jersey Shore was her happiest place, especially the family's Sea Isle City home, where she welcomed all with warmth and hospitality. In retirement, she and her husband fulfilled their dream of living there year-round and enjoyed traveling together with family and friends. Janet is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence Sr.; her children Bonnie (Timothy), Stacey (the late Matthew), and Lawrence Jr. (Kimberly); and her grandchildren Keegan, Cullen, Keeley, Chelsea, Ryan, Gavin, and Emma. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Wayne, PA. Funeral Mass to follow. Interment private.
