Janet is survived by her children Steven & Sherry McGinnis, her grandchildren Steven McGinnis Jr, Janet McGinnis, & Dasauni McGinnis. Four great-grandchildren and her Brother Stanley McGinnis.
Janet was the youngest sister of the late Edith Kirby, Phyllis Clinton, Gloria Blair; and brothers: Reuben Kirby,Robert McGinnis, Russell McGinnis, Charles McGinnis.
Janet enjoyed attending mass at St. Benedict the Moor, she lived for her children Steve & Sherry. She was a matriarch to her family often checking in on nieces and nephews just to make sure everyone was in a good place with life. Her favorite quote and what she believed in most was "It's nice to be nice."
