Janet Z. Mullis

Janet Z. Mullis (90) died peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Mrs. Mullis was a homemaker and a teacher in the public school system; also an active member for many years and a past president of the Johns Hopkins APL Women's Club. She was an avid reader and political supporter. Predeceased by her parents, Francis Webster and Herman Zimmerman; her husband of 57 years, Ira B. Mullis, Jr.; and her only brother, Meredith Zimmerman. Beloved mother of four daughters, Carol Case, Marilyn Smith, Sherry Whisenhunt, and JoAnn Windsor. She also leaves behind two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Viola Zimmerman; three nephews and other relatives and friends. At Mrs. Mullis’ request, there will be no service.
