Janet PrudenSeptember 29, 1961 – September 20, 2025

Janet Pruden, 63, of Oakdale, MN, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 29, 1961, Janet lived a life centered on faith, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. On September 19, 1981, she married the love of her life, Richard Pruden, and together they shared more than four decades of unwavering love and partnership.

Janet was a devoted mother to her daughter, Lynn (Kris) Allen, and her son, David (Nicole) Pruden. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to her six cherished grandchildren - Kenneth and Austin Allen, and Mackenzie (Chase), Ethan, Caleb, and Carly Pruden - and was thrilled about a great-grandchild on the way. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she treasured every moment with them.

A woman of deep faith, Janet loved God and lived each day guided by His grace. She delighted in camping adventures, lovingly remembered her faithful dog, Snowflake, and shared her musical gifts by playing handbells at church. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the example she set of unconditional love and steadfast faith.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her mother, Rosemary Jensen; her children, Lynn and David, with their spouses; and her six treasured grandchildren.

She was welcomed into heaven by her father, Junior Jensen, and by an infant sister who preceded her and is now reunited with her in God's care.

A celebration of Janet's life will be held at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 6039 40th Street N., Oakdale, MN 55128, on October 4. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m., followed by a service and light refreshments.

Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
