Janet Louise (Festa) Russo of Norton, MA passed on February 15, 2026 at Royal health Hospice in Braintree, MA after a long illness.
Janet was born in East Boston, MA in June 1946 and was the oldest daughter of Benjamin and Jean (Peluso) Festa. She graduated from Girl’s High School in Roxbury, MA and in later years worked as a full charge bookkeeper for over 20 years at New England Tackle Company in Hingham, MA.
Janet adored her children and grandchildren and spent many fun times with them and also her Mastiff dogs.
She is survived by her husband Joseph A. Russo of almost 58 years and two sons; Joseph and his wife Kristin Russo of Auburn, ME and William and his wife Lori Russo of Halifax, MA. Her grandchildren: Elizabeth Philbrick of Lewiston, ME; Nicholas Russo of North Scituate, RI; Kaitlyn Skorohod of East Bridgewster, MA; Benjamin Russo of East Bridgewater, MA; Emily Russo of Maynard, MA. Her great-grandchildren: Paige Philbrick of Lewiston, ME; Kierin Skorohod of East Bridgewater, MA; and Amelia Philbrick of Lewiston, ME. She is also survived by her siblings: Donna Lovasco of Orlando, FL; James Festa of Boca Raton, FL; Brenda Festa of Boca Raton, FL; Wayne Festa of Wilmington, MA; Paul Festa of Fort Myers, FL. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to Janet’s visiting hours on Friday, March 13th from 9:30-11:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
