Janet Ruth Sidener

Janet Ruth Sidener, 70, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. She was born February 22, 1955 in Royal Oak, Michigan to the late Donald Schrader and Doris Rockensuess Schrader. Janet had worked as a special education assistant for Daviess County Public Schools. She was a member of Christ Community Church and Senior Citizen Center. Janet was a devoted Christian and loved serving her church. She enjoyed making jewelry, cooking, RVing and camping with her late husband. Janet never met a stranger and had a brightness to her. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Newton Sidener; two sons, Donald William Sidener and Christopher Ryan Sidener; and a grandson, Jacob Radley Snedker.
She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Lynn Haney and her children; Juliette Haney, Madelynn Haney, Isabel Haney, Olivia Haney, and Samuel Tevis; daughter, Angela Ruth Snedker and her children; Benjamin Snedker, Zachary Snedker, Isaac Snedker, Andrew Snedker, and Adeline Snedker; and surviving children of her son, Chris; Bentley Sidener and Zoe Sidener.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Christ Community Church. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church.
