Janet Marie Siebert

Janet Marie Siebert, 88, of Batesville, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 15, 1937, in Ripley County, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Opal (Kelch) Winland.

She worked for many years as a grocery clerk at Save-A-Lot in Batesville, where her warm personality and dedication made her a familiar face to many customers. She took pride in her work and enjoyed the friendships she built over the years. In her free time, she loved baking cookies, especially for family gatherings and holidays. She never forgot a birthday and took the time to send cards to the ones she loved, reminding them how much they meant to her. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and simple joys in life touched everyone who knew her.

Janet is survived by her children: Brenda Becker, Julie Siebert, Bob (Cheryl) Siebert, Bruce (Joanne) Siebert; daughter-in-law, Debbie Siebert; grandchildren: Brandon (Amber) Siebert, Ryan (Dominique) Siebert, Angie Siebert, Abby (Ryan) Siebert, Traci (Chris) Siebert, Clint (Chelsea) Siebert, Adam (Chantel) Siebert, Megan (Leo) Werner, Colin (Kelsey) Becker, Blair Becker, Jordan Thornsberry; and 12 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Siebert; son, Jerry Siebert; great granddaughter, Haven Siebert; sister, Gloria Doerflein and step-father, Walter Muir.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 PM at Meyers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00 am also at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Booster officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery Crossroads.
