Janet LaVon Stensrud, 86, of Bloomington, MN died Monday April 4, 2022 at Hayden Grove Senior Living Apartments.
She was born in Minneapolis, MN on February 28, 1936 to Arnold & Irene Westerlund. She lived in Minneapolis & graduated from South High School.
On April 16, 1955 she married C. Lyle Stensrud at Minnehaha Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. They raised three children together and were married 66 years. She was a longtime member of Wooddale Church of Eden Prairie, MN.
She is survived by her children- Todd Stensrud of Bloomington, MN; Jamie (Joel) Urch of Byron, MN; and Kirk (Wendy) Stensrud of Red Wing, MN; Grandchildren- Sarah Urch of Overland, MO; Michael (Briana) Urch of Golden Valley, MN; Trent (Ashley) Stensrud of Minnetonka, MN; Scott (Katie) Stensrud of St Louis Park, Mn; Mari (Cam) Bell of Plymouth, MN and 7 great grandchildren; and other family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle in November 2021 and her parents.
Memorial service will be held on Friday April 22, 2022 at MN Crematory Society in Edina, MN at 4pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank Hayden Grove Senior Living Memory Care & St Croix Hospice for the care she received.
