Janet Tainter Obituary

Daytona Beach, Florida at the age of 83. She will be greatly missed by many friends, family and
caregivers.
Janet was born in Baldwin, Wisconsin on March 16,1942 and graduated from Hammond High
School. She married Edwin Vernon Tainter in July of 1961. Together they lived in Louisiana,
Minnesota, Wisconsin, California, and Arkansas. After her husbands death she moved to North
Carolina and eventually Florida. Lastly Janet made many friends and enjoyed activities at
Ormond in the Pines Senior Living facility.
Janet's favorite hobbies were painting ceramics, Artex, embroidery, rug hook, many other crafts
and reading. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening and volunteered at church when her children
were school age. She worked, and retired from, her favorite retail store in California, Arkansas
and North Carolina. Her favorite meal was shrimp, asparagus and a Bloody Mary drink.
Janet was the daughter of Edith Johannah (White) Wieberdink and Edwin Henry Wieberdink.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Vernon Tainter. She is survived by her children
Keith (Diane) Tainter, Dawn (Paul) Morrisette and Diana (June) Burt. One sister, Shelby
Chapman, who resides in North Carolina. She also has five grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren
and one nephew.
Informal graveside gathering will be on September 13, 2025, 10:00 am, at Oakwood Cemetery
in Hersey, Wisconsin. Come share a memory with us.
A celebration of life will be held on September 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at Dawn and Pauls home in
Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Janet's
name.
