Janet Irene Weyenberg, 81, of Appleton, passed away on December 30, 2021. She was born on July 12, 1940 in Kaukauna and is the daughter of Gilbert and Olive (VanGompel) Busse. Janet graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1958. In 1959 Janet married her high school sweetheart the late Dennis "Denny" Weyenberg in Kaukauna. In her early life she was employed at Appleton Papers for many years. In 1978, Janet and Dennis opened Denny's Supermarket in New London which they later retired from and moved to Florida. She enjoyed knitting, playing card games, video games and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Janet is survived by her (3) Children: Wendy (Dennis) Bodway of Appleton, Sherry (Arden) McClelland of New London, and Dawn (Dave) Weyenberg-Herzfeldt of New London. (7) Grandchildren: Denise (Nick) Balboa, Dana (Jesse) Bodway-Olson, Andrew (Kerri) Bodway, Jason (Gina) Dreier, Ryan (Geremy Lane) Dreier, Colin (Autumn Hawkinson) Loughrin, and Connor (Kayla Casey) Loughrin. (12) Great-Grandchildren: Trevor, Logan, Madeline, Grace, Charlotte, Morgan, Taylor, Carter, Rylee, Jaidyn, Emerson, and Graham. Brother: Keith (Gail) Busse. (3) Sisters: Kay Busse, Mary (Gary) Hooyman, and Debbie Deleeuw. (2) Brother-in-laws: James (Babs) Weyenberg, and Neil (Mary Ellen) Weyenberg. (3) Sister-in-laws: Carol Busse, Sue Busse, Judy Weyenberg and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis "Denny" Weyenberg. (2) Brothers: Richard and Ronald Busse. Father and mother-in-law: John and Hattie Weyenberg. (2) Brother-in-laws: Mark Deleeuw and LeRoy Weyenberg.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Family would like to thank the Staff at Primrose Retirement Community for their exceptional care and support during this time. Any memorial can go to an organization of your choosing per families wishes.
