Janet Rozansky Worff

Janet Worff, 82, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on December 17, 2023. Janet was born in Jersey City, NJ on October 1, 1941 to Julius and Mary Rozansky. She was raised in Secaucus, New Jersey and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Janet enjoyed being an Army officer's wife and traveling the world with her husband, Herb, and later with their young family. They raised their family in Texas, Kansas, New York, Germany and settled in New Jersey until 2002. That's when they officially retired from all work and built their dream home in Georgetown, Texas with the pool that Janet always wanted. This also allowed them to turn their ranch they bought 50 years ago into Herb's life long dream with longhorns, horses and donkeys!
Janet lived a wonderful life, enjoying time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, going to the Jersey shore and especially shopping. Janet loved swimming in her pool with her grandchildren and playing cards and Uno with them. Janet loved her plants and gardening at home, at her children's houses and everywhere she went. She was a teacher and Realtor but most important to her was being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Janet is predeceased by her mother and father, Julius and Mary Rozansky; her 2 brothers, John and his wife Gloria and Julius and his wife Marilyn.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Herb; their 4 children, daughter Cathy Kohn and her husband Dan, and their sons, Jacob and Gabriel; daughter Marissa Salisbury and her husband Charlie, and their children Reilly, Harrison and Reese; daughter Rebecca Benjamino and her husband Mike, and their children Michael, Nicholas, Kylie and Torie; son Jason and his wife, Erin and their daughter Graycen. Janet is also survived by her sister Carol Thomas and husband Claude, along with many loving nephews, nieces and cousins.
A time of visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21st, 2023, in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Deacon Glen Murphy officiating.
Mrs. Worff will be laid to rest at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22nd, 2023 at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery. 11463 State Hwy 195, Killeen, TX 76542.
