Janetta Lou Marriott

Apr 27, 1942 - Mar 24, 2025

Janetta Lou Marriott, 82, went to heaven to be with God March 24, 2025. She was born on April 27th, 1942 in Shamrock, Texas to Ruby and Harry "Bud" Alexander ahead of her twin, and was the eldest of 5 children. She married Garry Marriott June 5th 1959.

They spent many years raising their 5 kids in Odessa, Texas before moving to Bryan, Texas in 2001. Janetta was an avid bowler, even times when she was unable to bowl, she would go because she loved to be around her friends. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church and was a devoted follower of Jesus. She adored spending time with her family and pets.

She leaves behind her sisters, twin Wanetta Sue Marsh of Shamrock and younger sister Vickie Potter of Bakersfield, CA. Five children, Cheryl Davenport, Ronnie Marriott, and Terry Marriott, all of Bryan, Ginger Marriott of Katy and Kris Marriott of Anchorage, AK, six grandkids and nine great grandkids. She is loved and missed dearly by all.

My condolences. Janette was a lovely person, seemingly always happy. I enjoyed seeing her smiling face at the bowling alley, even though she usually beat me! She will be remembered.

Times were always fun when bowling with Janetta, she made you happy just to be around her. We have missed her smile at the bowling center. May she keep heaven laughing, lots of bowlers are there with her. My prayers are with her family.
