Janette Carol Rucker was born December 26, 1959, to the union of Robert and
Janette Andrews in Portland, OR. Her early years were spent in a large family
filled with an immense amount of love and support. Her full heart led her to
commit her life to the Lord at a young age. She grew up in the Church of the
Living God - Pillaring Ground of the Truth.
She graduated from Washington Highschool and immediately began her 27-year
career at Steinfelds. While there she met and married the love of her life Robert
Rucker. They were blessed to share 39 years together.
Carol was a pillar in her church. She loved singing and organizing a church
program (if you came, be prepared to be on program). She was a church planter
and is accredited to helping several ministries gain their foundation and
momentum. She was also passionate about her community and feeding the
homeless.
Carol was an accomplished writer and published 10 books in her lifetime. She
enjoyed playing bingo, cards and watching movies and plays. Though she had no
natural children, she had many spiritual children and her beloved dog Queenie.
She was also a phenomenal auntie!
Carol had a beautiful smile and caring spirit. Her walk with God was a consistent
one to the very end. She committed her entire life to serving and loving people.
What a wonderful life she lived and a profound effect she leaves behind on those
who will carry her memory for generations.
Carol received her Golden Crown smiling on November 14, 2023
She is proceeded in death by her Father Robert Andrews, and a host of relatives.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband Robert Rucker, mother
Janette Andrews, siblings Robert "Earl"Andrews (Benita), Michael Andrews, Jerry
Andrews (LaNette), and Linda Andrews. Her life-long friend Vernell "Itsy" Gibson
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
