Janice Marie (Norwood) Beckwith loved animals & babies, family & friends, flannel shirts & blue jeans. She was known by many names over the course of her 82 years, including: Janice, Devil in the Blue Dress, Mom, JP, Aunt Jan, Grammie, Maya.
Janice was a complicated lady who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: sharing a meal or a hug with a loved one; savoring smooth vanilla ice cream or tart cherry pie; embracing a beloved companion animal; crocheting a hat or baby blanket as a heartfelt gift. Though she may not have been able to express it in words, her strongest desire was to make her own decisions & exercise control over her own life. She lives on in her four daughters & ten grandchildren.
Her family appreciates the nurses, chaplains, & aides at Heart to Heart Hospice, & the staff and residents of the Memory Care unit at Valley View Healthcare Center in Elkhart, for caring for Janice in her time with them.
