Janice E. Danko

Warren – Janice E. Danko, 63, passed away on Friday afternoon March 20, 2015, at her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Janice was born on October 19, 1951 in Sharon, PA, a daughter of Fred and Peg (Rowlands) Bumstead. She was a 1970 graduate of Lakeview High School. She enjoyed camping, bonfires, reading books, and loved cats. She was a Champion High School band parent for nine years and continued to enjoy attending Champion High School football games. She will be deeply missed by her father; her loving husband, Bob Danko, whom she married on April 20, 1974; her two children, Mike Danko of Champion and Staci Danko of Fort Walton Beach, FL; her two brothers, Ken Bumstead and his wife Mary of Cortland, OH and Mark Bumstead and his wife Diane of Cortland; and her sister Gayle Beil and her husband Dave of Farmdale. She was preceded in death by her mother. Funeral services for Janice will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 7:30PM at Lane Family Funeral Homes – Shafer – Winans Chapel, located at 164 North High Street Cortland, OH 44410, with Pastor Dave Vensel of Cortland United Methodist Church presiding. Friends and family may call from 5-7:30PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Champion Township Cemetery at a later date.
