Ms. Janice M. Elmore, age 80, of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services for Ms. Elmore will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Judson Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Uptain officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Interment to follow in the Judson Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Elmore is survived by her children, David (Connie) Elmore, Suzanne (Jonathan) Grissett, and Adam Elmore; her grandchildren, Lori (Elijah) Lawson, Joseph Craft, Jonathan (Katie) Craft, and Caroline Craft; her great-grandchildren, Loreli Rae Lawson, Eloise Mae Lawson, and Isla Kate Craft; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ms. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by service to others. She had a deep love for sewing, cooking, and gardening, and she found great joy in caring for those around her. She was known for making sure everyone had what they needed, often putting others before herself. Ms. Elmore loved flowers, and she was well known in the community for making and selling cakes and pies. A talented seamstress, she altered countless garments, lovingly fixed many prom dresses, and provided sewing services to members of the community for many years. Her generosity, kindness, and quiet dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmore; her brothers, James Maddox and Ronnie Maddox; and her parents, John and Gladys Maddox.

Those as pallbearers will be; Jonathan Grissett, Joseph Craft, Jonathan Craft, Elijah Lawson, Kent Covin, and Gage Sightler.

The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Andalusia Manor, and especially to Gina and Jo Anna with Aveanna Hospice, whose compassion, kindness, and dedication brought comfort and peace during this time. Your care will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
