Janice Greenland Obituary
She was born Feb. 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Frank J. Kane and Mary (O'Donnell).
Mrs. Greenland was a graduate of St. Francis High School and then was an owner and bookkeeper for Greenland Construction for many years, starting in 1972.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the St. Francis Alumni Association. She was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Red Hat Society, and a Christian Children's Fund Sponsor. She volunteered for the Therapeutic Riding Association and was a past volunteer at the SPCA.
Janice is survived by four children, Marybeth Howell of DuBois, Timothy D. (Megan) Greenland of Clearfield, Robert F. (Franny) Greenland of Clearfield, and Melissa (Joel) Keen of DuBois; thirteen grandchildren, Bethany (Bob) Livergood, Daniel (Sarah) Greenland Jr., Nikki Greenland, Ryan (Andrea) Greenland, Amanda (Christopher) Miller, Nathan (Madison) Greenland, Kelsey (Spencer) Herrington, Brandon (Amanda) Greenland, Melinda (Tyler) Noel, Joshua Greenland, Rebekah (Troy) Graham, Jesse Keen, and Emily (David) Schwab; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew H. Greenland on April 22, 2014 whom she wed April 28, 1956 in Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel J. Greenland; three grandsons, Matthew Greenland, Robert Keen, and Mikhail Greenland; a sister, Connie Howard; and a brother, Joseph Kane.
All services will be private. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830; or to the Serendipity Horse Rescue Ranch, 920 Peavine Road, West Decatur, PA 16878.
