Janice Dianne Helmuth

Janice’s life began on April 29, 1949 in Manila, Arkansas, the daughter of Mack and Lucille. (Foster) Eubanks. She was united in marriage to David Helmuth on October 15, 1966. Janice’s trust and faith in Jesus Christ were the true hallmark of her life. She supported and partnered with her husband Pastor Dave Helmuth as they worked together to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to so many people. She was truly the matriarch of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Dowagiac leading by example and by the Holy Spirit. One of Janice's passions was archtectural work. This was manifested in the six houses in which the families live and three churches they built. Most importantly, the values orchestrated in her children and grandchildrens lives were her greatest achievements. Janice was also a wonderful mother to her children David (Jennifer) Helmuth, Tami (Brian) DeLong, Michelle (Eric) Charles, and Casey (Sheila) Helmuth, all of Dowagiac. A cherished daughter to her mother Lucille Eubanks, she was a loving grandmother to Brian David, Amanda and Dianna DeLong, Eric Lee, Paige, Mack and Wyatt Charles, Morgan, David Coy and Madison Helmuth, and Jacob, Ethan, and Allison Helmuth, a loving sister and friend to Joyce (Gerald) Bushnell and Doug Eubanks and incredible aunt to Marleigh and Heather Bushnell. Janice went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning February 14, 2010 at her home. She is preceded in death by her father Mack Eubanks. Her family will gather with friends and loved ones on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at the Apostolic Lighthouse where her Home Going will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery following the service.
