Janice MacAulay Homan

Janice Homan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at the age of 85.

She was born on May 16, 1940 and devoted her life to caring for those she loved. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave endlessly of herself with patience, warmth, and quiet strength.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Homan, children, Karen, Keith and wife, Debbie, and Kim; her grandchildren, Lisa, Matthew and wife, Danielle, Thomas, and Katelyn; and other cherished family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Julia and Douglas MacAulay, Sandy Goettlicher and her husband Harold.

Janice was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, resilience, and most importantly her faith. She found joy in spending time with family, gardening, playing the piano, and painting. Her love and guidance shaped the lives of her children and will continue to live on through them.

She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in New Bern, NC and lived in Fairfield Harbor for over 30 years.

A funeral service will be held on December 18th, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home in Alliance, NC.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
