Janice Ogden Hughes

Janice Ogden Hughes, 90 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
Janice who was affectionately known as Grandma to many was born on August 5, 1933, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Howard Ogden and O'dessa Jones Ogden. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and daughter in law, Rhonda Hughes. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harold Hughes of Magnolia; son, Steve Hughes of Magnolia; granddaughter Anee` Turner and husband Chad of Sumrall, Mississippi; two great grandsons, Trenton Turner and wife Sara of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Logan Turner of Sumrall; nephew Mike Gray and wife Sherry of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and sisters in law, Diann Hughes and Libby Talley. Janice was also survived by extended family Julia Farrar, Gary and Crystal Farrar, Chelsea Farrar, Courtney Simpson, Lou Bills, Dr. Fred Murphy, Sarah Ellen Donahue and family, Emily McDaniel and family, and Charlie Murphy and family.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023. at Craig Cemetery in Union County, Arkansas with Donavan Jarvis officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
