The last year they were together, Danny was preparing to be deployed to Vietnam. The last ten days before his deployment they spent together in California. Danny told Janice to not put her life on hold, and she would eventually go on to marry and raise children. Fast forward years later, in 1992, Danny would reconnect with Janice again as a customer at the salon she worked at. Following this renewed connection, they reunited once again for the final time, marrying and spending the next 32 years together.
