Janice Perrotty Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Darby Funeral Home - Canton on Dec. 26, 2025.
Janice Gwen Perrotty, 79, passed peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by love and the life she so beautifully lived. She was born on September 15, 1946, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to Edna Stalcup and Travis West.

Janice lived with curiosity, grace, and a joyful appreciation for life's simple and beautiful pleasures. She was a true foodie who found happiness in the kitchen, sharing meals made with love, and pairing them thoughtfully with a well-chosen glass of wine. A certified yoga instructor, Janice believed in balance - of body, mind, and spirit - and carried that calm strength into every part of her life.

Her love for animals and nature was evident in all she did. Janice lovingly raised koi and tended her koi pond with pride and patience. She delighted in feeding ducks, watching hummingbirds flutter nearby, and caring deeply for her beloved furbabies: Duke, Daisy, Faith, Frito, and Violet, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.

Janice adored the beach and cherished her time living in Florida, where the ocean brought her peace and joy. She loved playing Mah Jong, savoring both the challenge of the game and the fellowship it created. Above all else, Janice treasured her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the joy of her heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bernard "Bernie" Perrotty of Canton, Georgia; her daughters, April (Greg) Morris of Woodstock, Georgia, and Melissa (Bill) McLaughlin of Delmar, New York; her sons, Robert Silvia of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Bernard (Paulette) Perrotty III of Somerset, Massachusetts; her brother, Jimmy (Carol) West of Coronado, California; her sisters, Sandra (Eric) Gauvin of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Patricia Farrell of Wickford, Rhode Island; and her six beloved grandchildren: Emma Grace Morris, Ava Marie Morris, Calvin Perrotty, Chloe Perrotty, Henry McLaughlin, and Nora McLaughlin.

Janice will be remembered for her warmth, her nurturing spirit, her love of beauty and flavor, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her presence leaves an enduring mark on all who knew and loved her.

A private service will be held at a later date.

She was deeply loved, and she will be forever missed.
